I think a Primos Wench was the first call I ever had, Christmas gift from my folks......needless to say i didnt really call any ducks for years- in fact i gave up trying to learn- that call sucked....

then i became friends w/ a guy who is a die hard HAYDELS DR85 user and purchased one of those to learn on.....probably why i'm hooked on those "worthless" double reeds Chappy!

the lanyard now has a Zink Paralyzer XR2, Haydels Timber Cutter and a Duck Commander Reacher that Stan Chapin rigged up for me.......I have a acrylic Rowdy DOA Double Trouble coming in the mail too!

Over the first five years I hunted waterfowl, I probably spent $200, or more, on quite a number of crappy $15-$25 duck and goose calls. I settled for a while on Duck Commander calls, which were productive, and on a Grounds Guides Best goose call.

Now I use a Gaston Straight Barrel and Gaston Timber acrylic single reed calls for ducks, and for geese I use an acrylic Zink PC-1 and a Grounds Half Breed. They're all easy to operate and sound pretty good, even with my ham handed technique.

First Primos goose flute, Primos wench.

Now have 2 Lynchmobs, a Lynchmob Goose Noose, a Foiles Market Hunter, and a Foiles Timber Rattler.

Sound a heck of a lot better than several years ago.

The first duck call I bought was a Duck Commander reacher,H.S. Buck Gardner Single reed. For geese A primos Mother of all cluckers and big river flute. Now I use Foiles SMH, Zink PM-1 for geese and for ducks too many to list. Although I bought 2 used acrylics I'll be using next year and a new Zink duck call and foiles acrylic I'm going to buy before next season.
