My 4yr old female lab has been throwing up the last couple of days every 8-9 hrs. She was at the vet last Saturday and got rabies and booster shots and every thing seemed to be in order.
Spoke with the vet yesterday and he suggested not feeding her for a day and see what happens. I cut back her food to half rations since I think she would go crazy not getting her food. She is acting normal in all aspects otherwise.
Any comments or suggestion on this would be appreciated since I am starting to worry and am getting tired of cleaning up stinky puke at 3 in the morning.
Thanks

Call your vet and insist on an appointment. Is the food whole, does it have a lot of flem mixed with it? Does she strain when trying to crap or is it diarhea? Could be from the shots or if she has these two symptoms may be a blockage. Good luck...Jim

Jim,thanks for for advice. As a note:the vomit looks like digested food with a lot of flem mixed in. I have not seen diarhea or noticed she straining when crapping.
I might be overreacting but I am taking off work for the rest of the day and going to the vet.
This is my buddy and I am concerned.
