I've pretty much retired just take folks every once in awhile when there's a chance.

Congrats - Nice! Been turkey hunting for yrs and have always closed the season with an unused tag. Hoping to change my luck this weekend.

Same here except for this one. Watched him cross a cornfield after flydown day after day of hens. Found his funnel point in a fencerow and ambushed him. Wouldn't even acknowledge a call or decoy.

That's how the big get bigger!!

Well I have gave my wife 3 opportunities over the weekend. She missed a big one sat morning at 30 yards.... then yesterdsy we got on a hot bird and called him in to 35 yards, she didn't shoot... he left gobbling over the hill... we got around the other side on him and I called him in again.... 25 yards this time, she moved and the gig was up.... probably had the biggest beard I've ever seen on a turkey.... it was hard for me to not get pissed..... but it is what it is.... I struggle to keep my composer when **** doesn't die. Ha
