<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I took my buddy with me this morning as we tried to setup on the birds that I roosted last night. Birds started gobbling their heads off at 6:20. We setup between the gobblers and where the hens were roosted so we had great calling this morning. I started with a couple soft tree yelps and that fired up the hens and gobblers. There were 3 toms that came into 20 yards where we ended the ordeal at 7:03. They came in awesome, hammering every call I made. </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Mine was 20 lbs, 11 inch beard with 1 1/2 inch spurs</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Buddies was 23 lbs, 11 inch beard with 1 inch spurs.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Try to get the season limit tomorrow morning!!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> WHAT A MORNING!!</P>

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">Hunted outside of Green Springs this morning. Birds were really active. Three started gobbling non-stop at around 6:15. Convinced this one to come take a look at the decoys at just before 7:00. Shot him beak to beak with my tom decoy. What a rush!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Huffy</P>

We decided to split and have better luck on our own. I set up in my spot while watching the gobbler in the tree gobbling his head off!! Started to call and hens appeared all around me. One even flew out of the tree across the river to see whats going on. Then maybe 10 minutes later seven more hens came in with a quite strutting tom. What a show!!! Harvested him less then a minute later at 15 yards. <IMG src="http://www.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif" align=absMiddle border=0> 17lbs, small 4 inch beard and 1 inch spurs with beautifully tail. I was done by 7:05. What a morning!!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">My buddy had no luck first thing. His birds went the opposite way. So we meet up at his barn and put my gun and bird in the truck. We then went to burger king for coffee after checking my bird in. Went back to his farm noticed 7 to 8 birds in his field. They spooked and ran into the woods. We moved down the field to the edge of the wood line and I started calling. Well needless to say they came back to us and my buddy harvested his gobbler 18lbs, small 3 inch beard and 1 1/4 spurs with nice tail.(10:45) <IMG src="http://www.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif" align=absMiddle border=0> Both hunts seemed like what you see on a hunt video!!
