<P style="MARGIN: 0px">We set up yesterday a.m. and split the boys up. Four toms were gobbling to far down a creek from Friday morning. We tried working them but not much happened. Another was further east 1/4 mile where we got one last year.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">He was coming closer by the gobbles. Next thing a shot went off. I hope the youth got it.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Mark and I moved west at 8:30 to repostion. By ten we had enough and slip back the way we came in.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Val told uo later a tom started gobbling around 10:15 about where we were.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">I spotted their decoys and headed to the truck. </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Around 11 they started to walk out and quickly duck into the woods. I figured they heard a bird.&nbsp;Mark and&nbsp;I waited. He took a nap. At 11:25 I watched a tom walk out of the woods in full strut about 150 yards from </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">where Mat's and Val's decoys were. Then he headed back into the woods.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Finally here they came. They were snoozing waiting on us while were we already at the road. A story of should of and could of.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">We set up on the roost Sat. eve and had a hen yelping and cutting at 7:20.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">That was it.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">This morning work a pair of toms at a new spot from 6:20 until 9:00.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Both boys watch them strut on a hill at 100 yards for over an hour.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Finally one started walking downhill. Next he was 65 yards strutting in the brush while the other stayed high. They never did gobble hard, just every 10 minutes or so.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">At 9:00 I looked west on a hill an there was a turkey sneaking behind a fallen log and big oak tree, about 38 yards. I tried to get the boys attention, but the tom spotted us and backed out.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Going to go right back in late afternoon on the hill and wait them out tonight.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">If that does'nt work&nbsp; Val and I will be on the hill in the a.m.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Those two turkeys definetly knew how to play the game.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Good luck every one tonight and tomorrow!!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P>
