My brother in law is getting married to a Jewish woman. They are having a Jewish/ Christian wedding. I was told that all the guys that attend are to wear a yammika (sp.?) I told them that I would bring my own. My question is can you get a custom made one like say in Mossy Oak s. g ? Just as a gag. They know that I am always doing " hillbilly " stuff. Which I do. I just thought it would be great to see the look at rehearsal when I come in with Levi's, a DU shirt and a camo yammika . They put nothing past me. Even if I can get one somewhere and sew the material on myself. Then I ask, is it a bad omen or anything to do such a thing? Thanks.

MAdgooser. My sisters's wedding was a Jewish Catholic wedding. It is going to depend on how dedicated to the jewish faith they are. My sisters wedding was actually pretty cool, although it lasted forever. We had a female Rabi, and a priest. It was pretty cool to see the two religions and the traditions....
As far as the Yamika sp? good luck. you could probably make one...
Goosebuster

Do a Google search for"yarmalka"-they define it as a skull cap required to be worn by Jewish males 13 years or older when in a holy place or where jewish prayers are offered. Also, many manufacturers of specialty yarmalkas listed.
