Yes I'm wondering if anyone on here has ever hunted Wayne National Forest on opening morning? I'm an active duty military member who needs a place to turkey hunt. I'm one of the biggest turkey hunters alive, beside most of you on here. I've been in many NWTF turkey calling contests since I was 10 and have won about 2 National titles in the junior division. If anyone wants to hook up and hunt please let me know. I'd rather go out and call for someone else who never has killed a turkey or needs some guidance as a woodsman. Also I know that the youth season opens earlier, so if you know of anyone that wants their kid to go, I would love to attend with a parent to call for their kid. Also I don't know if anyone on here could point me into a direction where there might be some openings into a hunting club? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and have a safe and blessed week!

David

Proverbs 3: 5-7
If everything works out right i will be in Wayne on Opening day. i will be in the Carbon hill Area most of the time but am likely to be hunting anywhere between there and Athens I am Planning on being there till Thursday. I can't answer as to the presure as this is my first year out for Turkeys but I can say it used to get hit really hard during deer season and the last few times we were there the crowd wasn't bad at all and with a little foot work it was easy to get away from the crowds. They all stayed pretty close to the roads and it is walk in.

I also scouted out Zaleski. Has anyone hunted this area? It seems as if it has many birds. I saw a group of hens crossing the road, so I know there broken up (flock wise). I'm probably going to be there opening morning, so if anyone on here that wants to hook up as a group...please let me know. I really appreciate the help and Eric I'll definitely give you a call. Thank you all for the wonderful support and super advice. Keep me informed on all upcoming events.
