We will have Pauls duck boat in tow if its slow to head out to the bay or East Harbor or off Cedar Pt.
Brother in law hunted it yesterday. Didin't pull the trigger.
Sign at the check in station showed daily averages for each zone.... low was 0.5 birds, high was 1.5 birds.

Hunted Ottawa today saw lots high flying ducks .shot two wood duck lost one . Had friends in different blind get 4 should had more
Went on Monday. Had 3 woodies go across our blind early then nothing
Hate to hear all this, hunting there Wednesday.
we ended up with 3 gw, 3 hooded mergs, and lost a wood duck. shot everything we seen except a pair that came in 5 minutes before shooting time.
Why shoot Hoodes ? Do you eat them?

Yes as a taxidermist always on the look out for a nice specimen.
Hunted Ottawa Wednesday, had 1 bird (hen woodie) to shoot. Plenty of birds flying, out of the reserve to feed. I won't apply next year after hunting Ottawa and Magee 2 years in a row and see this. If you really look at the area there is no food for ducks.

Hunted it Monday and got 3 geese and a mallard. Saw LOTS of pintails and shovlers in there.
