Delta Waterfowl is currently seeking passionate waterfowlers looking to make a difference in their local community, to begin a Delta Waterfowl Chapters in Ohio and Michigan! This is an exciting time for our area, as Delta Waterfowl has just announced The Great Lakes Initiative, which will have a profound impact on us Ohioans!<O</O Why should you start a Local Delta Waterfowl Chapter?<O</O 1)To Benefit Your Local Community and Local Ducks and Duck Hunters<O></O> Your local chapter will retain 25% of the funds you raisein a special “Waterfowl Heritage Fund.â€You may use this fund for hosting mentored youth field days and hunts, building wood duck boxes or Hen Houses, student scholarships and much more!<O></O> 2)Battle Threats to Your Duck Hunting Community<O></O> From promoting access to your favorite public hunting areas, defeating overreaching regulations and so much more, Delta is your voice and advocate as a duck hunter. The chapter network often informs Delta of local threats to duck hunting and assists in their defeat.<O></O> 3)Promote Delta Waterfowl Initiatives<O></O> As a Delta Chapter, you’ll be part of a vast grassroots network that helps promote critical Delta initiatives on the local level. The Chapter system is vital to the First Hunt Program, the largest waterfowl-specific hunter recruitment program in North America.<O></O> As your Regional Director, I’m here to help! I’ll be there to help with advice and ensuring that your chapter remains on track.I’ll also be there to assist with events and fundraising.My office is in Mansfield, OH so I’ll be there through the whole process!<O></O> To start a chapter, you will need to gather a group of 8-10 like-minded and passionate individuals to serve on your committee.
