Has anyone used the shotgun(trap) range at the Grand River wildlife area to pattern their turkey guns? I need to pattern my son's new (newly won) youth Turkey gun. I have used that facility for clay birds but not sure if I could set up a pattern target. I would hate to use the target range down the road and be limited to just the 25yrd range.

Michael

I've checked how my shotgun patterns there and have seen people over the years do it too. No body ever said anything to me or them. I've shot clay and tested patterns at the same time with Grand River Wildlife workers cleaning the parking lot. They never said anything except discuss turkey population numbers and pheasant release areas. I would go check out your pattern, but I wouldn't do it with people shooting clays. FYI, hope this helps. The worse thing they could do is tell you to use the range, but I doubt it!!
