Magee Marsh Closure

The road on Magee Marsh Wildlife Area running from the Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center to the beach area, including the boardwalk and beach trails, will be closed in order to provide a quality hunting experience for Ohio’s sportsmen and women.

The road closure is in effect Sept. 28- Oct. 5, Oct. 13- Nov. 1, and Nov. 9- Dec. 7, 2015. Additionally, the road and beach area will be closed during the controlled youth waterfowl and deer hunts scheduled Oct. 3- 4 and Nov. 21- 22, 2015.

The remaining Saturdays and Sundays during this time period hunters, anglers and wildlife viewers will be permitted access to the beach area and wildlife trails, Saturday afternoons until sunset and sunrise to sunset on Sundays.

The Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center and bird center walking trail will remain open for wildlife viewing during the fall hunting season.
