The AKC offers hunt tests, as most of you know, and the AKC and HRC programs compliment each other very well. If you have a working retriever you love, you owe it to him to keep him mentally sharp and physically fit during the "off" season. Here is a link that will give you a full calendar of AKC Hunt Tests nationwide. Run HRC. Run AKC. Run both. Just get out and run your dog. Network with other trainers, handlers, breeders and fellow duck hunters.

Pay special attention to the Ohio Valley Retriever Club, Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever Club, Cuyahoga Valley Golden Retriever Club, Buckeye Retriever Club, and the Labrador Retriever Club's tests in April, May and June. All those tests are open to ANY retriever breeds.
