Hauled the UFO home and spent some time reclining in it and 'imagining'. Now I'm totally stoked for this season and have no outlet. Guess I'll lock myself in the carving shed and try to knock out enough Bluebills to have a decent spread. Maybe that'll relieve the pressure......

Boat travelled real nic atop the van. Had to steal one of Tony's ratcheting tie-downs, but I got it nice and secure. I know it was moving faster than it ever will again. If anybody cares, the spray shield will withstand a 70-80 mph wind with no trouble.

Tony - I love the boat. Feel free to use me for a reference. I'm convinced.

The birds I was delivering were for guys I met at Weslake in March. If I get hopping, I might get another done by the season. You're on my list, Tony.

P.S., I don't call myself a decoy carver because to do so would be an insult to those who really are.

Well, sort of. Picked up the boat at the SWMI waterfowl jamboree, held in Kalamazoo, MI this weekend. Tony's guys hauled it up to MI for me and I hauled it back.

One way or the other, I'll get you in a Layout boat this season, Rod. Doc got his tender on Sunday and he's talking about a fayout fest near his place. Perhaps we can drag you over for that?

I think I've talked Milburn into coming out for Layout U II, Tony. Perhaps I can pass on the bug there.
