<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I was playing with a pattern that I received from someone and before I committed to making a few full-size gunners for next season, I decided to make a mini to see how to make this pose come together.&nbsp; I was happy with how it came out and now I know what to do (and not to do) when I make a few bigguns.&nbsp; A fun little project, made of some scrap pieces of wood and a small chunk of cork that I had laying around.&nbsp; Put the keel on just for sh.... and giggles.&nbsp; It'll make a nice shelf rider&nbsp;or desk topper for someone.&nbsp;<IMG height=600 src="http://pic14.picturetrail.com/VOL548/2461047/6989128/97043251.jpg" width=800 border=0></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"><IMG height=400 src="http://pic14.picturetrail.com/VOL548/2461047/6989128/97181897.jpg" width=533 border=0></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"><IMG height=600 src="http://pic14.picturetrail.com/VOL548/2461047/6989128/97472554.jpg" width=800 border=0></P>

<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I have only done one Can deke thus far, Stan.&nbsp; I'm kinda biased towards the GE and Buffies cause I really like carving their unique head shapes.&nbsp; I will end up doing a few more, but don't really have any plans in the near future..... a couple full-sized of this pattern is next up, then going to start on a few puddlers (prolly black ducks).&nbsp;&nbsp; We'll see....<IMG src="http://www.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif" align=absMiddle border=0></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">&nbsp;</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">And yes Jim..... Fasteel is the way to go.</P>

There, thats much better. Looks good. The eyes and cheeks look much better than the one you showed me at Westlake. Great improvement there. Here are some things to work on for the next one. Narrow the top of the bill just a tad so it flows into the head. Next get a picture of a Goleneye and look at it. The white on the sidepocket goes all the way up onto the shoulder. That is where you need to be puting those black "S"s. Something to think about for the next one.
Great improvement on your carving! Keep it up
