I was in an area this morning and a tom started gobbling at 6:40. He had one of the highest pitched gobbles I ever heard. Sounded like he was gobbling against an aluminum pie plate. fFnally after 20 minutes another tom close to him started gobbling with a much deeper gobble.

I figured the high pitch tom was a jake, but don't really know. I was 200 yards away and when I got up at 7:00 I could see them in the same tree.

Snuck out and thought about it later.

Probably like humans with differant voice pitches, any ideas?
