Hebron Hatchery Youth Muzzleloader

A youth I take hunting got drawn for the Hebron Hatchery muzzleloader hunt in January. I've never been to this hunt before. Any advice, tips, what to expect or anything else? From what I read you sit in a blind all day, is that correct? Thanks in advance!

While hunting a duck blind draw there last year I got to pass several of the blinds on Hebron. Very nice looking permanent wooden blinds all set up over food plots. You could see (at least at the one blind that I passed closest too) that there were MANY deer trails in that area and looked as though there were pre-cut shooting lanes to several of them. There are some big deer running around out that way. Had I still be a junior this year I would have definitely applied for that hunt. The guy who manages the place is also a wealth of information. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply! Sounds like it could be good, I'll definitely have to give that guy a call and see what he has to say.
Good luck to your youth hunter! I can assure you the deer are corn fed, Agrigold I believe.

Sent you a PM.
