manipulating their dove fields yet? I see some people have started to turn over some ground next to sunflowers. Does anyone think its a little to early yet? I thought the rule of thumb was to wait until app. 10 or so days to brushhog and/or disc the fields. Much sooner might get them eaten out, and have the birds look to other areas for feed. We just got back from 2 weeks up at the islands, and I mean these fields were being turned last week already. That is almost a full month to the opener. Anyone care to divulge their time lines on field manipulation?I have noticed the resident population growing, but I have to assume that some of the local birds are already on their second and third nestings. Crazy birds are still calling to each other,"hoo-HOO-hoo-hoo-hoo"almost all day long!
