<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I roosted a bird last night within 50 yards of a field edge and went back in there this morning.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">There were 2 fields with a small strip of woods between them and I set 3 hens out in the field to my left. Well, he started gobbling and then I heard the hens start to cackle. I called aggressively trying to irritate the boss hen and it worked great. They flew down and came running on a dead sprint towards me. The only thing was that they showed up in the field to my right and with 6 hens, 2 jakes and the boss gobbler out there, I couldn't swing to my right. The gobbler whooped the two jakes for about ten minutes and then the hens started getting a little suspicious, so I stuck the gun into my left arm and let him have it. He went down at 6:50 AM after the left handed shot. The Hevi-Shot puts 'em down hard too!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> This was my second bird this week and my biggest ever!</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">He was 23 lbs, 10.5 inch beard, 1 1/4 inch spurs.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P>
