Anyone hunt over these. I always see them for cheap during season, and have bought 1/2 doz so far. Looking to add to the spread again and trying to get opinions of people that have hunted them before. Also are silys a good runner up to full bodies for the visibility. Or should I just spend the extra and get BF or GHG. Already have 2 doz GHG shells and motion stakes for 1 doz. Also made a bunch of plywood silys. So I'm doing O.K. numbers wise.

Brian

The Judges are okay, they are a good attempt at a full body goose decoy. I have not priced them out but for the price, I have not seen a better decoy than the Green head gear full bodies.......People will say, " I have and issue with the paint" or They get beat up too fast". We I have hunted over Blaux 8 Dozen and they still look fantastic. I know the Paint job on the Flambeau isn't anything spectacular. The GHG are realistically painted. I'd say spend the cash and get he GHG.

Get the new GHG FFD's. These decoys are fully flocked, meaning the body and the head and neck are covered with flocking. These decoys do not shine in bright sunshine or after heavy rains. We had the opportunity to hunt over these last season, and will be adding some to our operation this season. These are by far the most realistic decoy on the market today, bar none. They aren't the cheapest, but remember you get what you pay for.

I have a dz of the Flambeaus. I didn't like the color either so...I repainted them . Now they look ok. I bought some cheap pillow cases at the dollar store to carry them in, once in the decoy bag (yes I can get 1 dz in a bag!!)

So, I'd say buy 'em & repaint 'em

I love the GHG full bodies. They are selling them now with a base that allows for some pivotting motion, but those aren't available quite yet. Another company, decoydancer.com (i think) sells after market motion bases for BFs and GHG.

Outlaw silos are back in production. I prefer their's to any other. You can't beat the portability of silos, especially if your farmer won't let you take a vehicle into his fields. They are very good at filling in a spread when you can't afford 3-6 (or more) dozen full body dekes. Heck, I've even used a silo as a flag when mine broke!
