Hey guys... so far this season has been good... not alot of gobbling but we've been seeing birds everytime out... but still no meat on the table. I had my dad intown last weekend from PA to hunt with me. It's the first time we have had an opportunity to hunt together for a couple years so, it was nice to get out with him. Anyway...

We setup on a corner of a woods next to a grass field. We put 2 hen decoys out in the field. I sat on the corner and he said he was going to go down the woods edge 40 yards or so and watch the inside of the woods. At 7AM I heard dad shoot... I got up and headed his direction figuring I'd see a floppying turkey (he doesn't miss very often). Well, he missed. He didn't notice the branch that was in front of the 2 jakes he was shooting at. Now for my question... all this happend on Sunday. Should I go back in and setup close to where he was on Saturday? Or do you think those birds have high tailed it out of there?

I had an opportunity at a bird late in the morning on Sunday... he came in range after shooting time.... had to let him walk.

Thanks,

Brad
