The next couple of weeks will be critical for broods that will be hatching off after a 28 day incubation period. Not only for pheasants, but turkey, grouse and quail. Survival will be dependant upon some drier and warmer weather. Let's hope we get both of them. Mama pheasant, old boss hen etal will do their very best to thermoregulate heat in the brood, but nothing kills more than a wet chick that loses it core temperature.
