<P style="MARGIN: 0px">I started around 7 PM thinking that the geese wouldn't head back to the roost until around 8 PM to 830 PM. WRONG. I checked a 70 acre sweet corn field that I got permission in last week and it was loaded with about 80-100 geese and others had already left for the roost. The corn turned brown about a week ago and the farmer had half of it disced under tonight. He said he will wait to cut and disc the other 40 acres until Monday (per special request!)</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">I checked out a local golf course that I've got and it had about 50-70 birds. Got the go ahead on that for the opening week. </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">The geese started heading to the roost around 7:30 and were all back by 830 PM. Mostly family groups with 8-15 birds. They are really grouping together at the same roosts now. A couple weeks ago, they were spread out pretty good. </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">I checked an 8 acre sweet corn field for my last stop and the farmer informed that he will be discing the field this week. (Already bush hogged) He said that there is around 60 geese using the field every morning, but not in the evening.</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px"> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px">Looks like it will be a great opener down here. Can't wait.
