Thanks ODNR! I had tickets to buckeyes game so couldn't hunt long so we decided to give Deleware a try. I didn't want to end streak 20plus years of teal opener. I knew there would be company but when a truck peeled out of the parking lot I got worried. After a quick walk to Marsh I realized it was bone dry. The lake is 90% full??? Thanks ODNR I am glad I always buy my stamps from you and the feds. I don't want to hear the excuse that Huntington Valley Water District is in charge. You suck.

Several of my wood duck holes are bone dry this year. They aren't pumped, just spring or rain fed. I'd be shocked if they did have water.

On a serious note, man do we ever need rain.

IF you opened the link you should have seen this:

! Due to low lake levels, Delaware Wildlife Area has been unable to pump water from Delaware Reservoir to fill the marshes for the early waterfowl season which opens Saturday, September 3, 2016. The pumped marshes provide an ideal habitat for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds. Without the ability to enhance the marsh with additional water, waterfowlers and bird watchers that utilize this area may see fewer birds and species. We are hopeful the lake level will rise in the coming weeks to allow us to pump prior to the regular waterfowl season that opens in the south zone on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Thank you for your patience and support!
So did they let the teal go in the reservoir then?
