I haven't seen the video referenced, but having hosted and participated in some of the filming for Jeff Foiles "Fallin Skies" video, and Zink's soon to be released video, I can tell you shots on film for the most part look further away than they really were. When birds look like they are really in the hunters' faces on video, they really were! In the hunt we filmed for Zink's new video, you can actually watch geese landing between the blinds!

Hi there, my first post, been lurking around awhile though

I actually shot most of that video and it was my first year on the camera. More than 75% of those shots were within 30 yards and quite a few within 10-15 yards. I was quite disappointed in the appearances of sky-busting as well, although there were one or two questionable range flocks shot at on video and some not on video as well.

It is difficult to keep 5 guys on their first Canada Hunting trip from opening up at 50+ yards when alot of them are lucky to shoot at 10-15 flocks of canada geese all year long back home. For this year we are implementing 2 way FRS radios in all blinds and getting one person calling all the shots and hoping this will cure most if not all sky-busting. To be fair though, the video was poorly shot and the guys from both IL and OH did not do very much sky-busting throughout their hunts.

I hope to put together a much better full length video this year as a memento to the guys and will put clips online for public viewing.

BTW, great site. One of my hunters put me onto it last year and it has surely come along!!
