Looking for some direction. Anyone head up to Canada and back recently? What paperwork do I need to fill out to make sure I can get my shotgun back into the US?

Thanks in advance!

Been a few since I've been up but it wasn't too hard. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/iefw-iefa-eng.html
go to a customs office and ask for a certificate for forein effects taken abroad it has an official number but I don't have any of mine with me to give you the form number,if you use customs office in port Clinton be sure to set an appointment,i know its hard to believe, but at the 30 million dollar office with over 80 agents ............nobody is ever there
Yes, you must register your weapon with the US Customs and Border Patrol. This allows you to bring your weapon back into the states from another country. If you do not have that form upon entry back into the USA they will take and verify before releasing it back to you. This may make a very long day at the border. When you register it, the run the numbers to see if weapon is on the hot list. So if you are not the original owner and you bought at a gun show, you might get a strange look from them and here comes the questions about it.
