What would you guys say is the best bang for the buck for goose calls? Nothing fancy or pretty, just puts out a good sound?

While I may be a bit biased I don't think you can go wrong with the Zink PC-1 in Polycarbonate. If you have some experience, the PM-1 in Polycarbonate is a great choice. Both calls have the easy blowing gut system as I said in another post. Both calls are very user friendly and take very little air to operate.

Just bought a Zink PC-1 Polycarbonate. What a great call with an unbelievable price. Replaced a high end goose call ($125.00) and this thing actually sounds better. I have never been the best with a goose call. But I was double clucking with this call on the second day I had it.

Ready for the early season to begin!

Huffy

I like my Winglok Delrin. It has a really sharp tone that I think carries quite far. Takes some practice, but for less than $50 I think it's an excellent call.

I HAVE A HUNTERS SPECIALTIES SHORT REED AND AM HAVING LOADS OF TROUBLE JUST TRYING TO GET IT TO SOUND HALFWAY DECENT. I AM NOT REAL GOOD AT CALLING. DO THESE CALLS COME WITH A CASSETTE OR VIDEO?
to anwere your question, there is a difference in sound coming from a acrylic, wood, or poly carb call. each material will offer a little different sound and tone quality. all of the above mentioned materials will work well in most situations and all will bring geese to the gun.

brian

HI AGAIN, NOW I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU NEEDED AN EASY BLOWING, AND EASY TO LEARN GOOSE CALL, WHICH WOULD YOU PICK? I HAVE FOUND A GOOD DEAL ON THE ZINK POLYCARB. PC-I, AND THE ZINK MAXIMUS POLYCARB.. WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? I KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME PC-I LOVERS OUT THERE AND THANKS FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS, BUT NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THE MAXIMUS WHICH I HAVE SEEN ON MANY WEBSITES. MOST OF THE WEBSITES THAT I HAVE VISITED GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT HOW EASY THE MAXIMUS IS EVEN FOR A NOVICE, BUT WEBSITES JUST SAY THAT THE PC-I IS A GOOD CALL. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! I WANT TO MAKE SURE I GET THE RIGHT ONE AND PRACTICE PRIOR TO REGULAR SEASON. THANKS EVERYONE!!

PC-1 is easier to blow than the PM-1 due to the built in back pressure. If you're a novice go with the PC-1.
