I just purchased a Nova and am considering a recoil reducer for it. Anyone have any experience with one? Had a guy tell me that they're qiute heavy, so that's why I'm still considering...
Thanks in advance!

i bought one for my nova. it was like 60 bucks or something like that. trust me, it's worth it. i have shot the nova with it in since i got it a couple years ago, and i took it out a couple weeks ago for the heck of it. what a difference without the recoil reducer in. its much harder on your shoulder. i would recommend one.

WHY? I shot that gun of yours in a T-shirt and it didn't kick any worse then my 20 ga and you will only be shooting the heavy loads with your hunting parka on so you wont feel the recoil anyways, why spend the dough? that's just less money you'll have to spend in Goshen or Circleville heck I am thinking about trading in one of the shotguns for one now

pcgoosehunter

I have a Nova I bought the second year they were made. I have the old style recoil reducer in it.

( I understand they changed it. )

It does reduce the recoil, and it does make the firearm feel heavy! (weight is not an issue for waterfowling, for me ) I like the reduced recoil because it allows me to recover from the shot and acquire another target quicker and more accurately!

I also let my neighbor boy use it when he goes with me, He's maybe 5' tall and 110 lbs. and handles it well!
