I'm looking for a new 12 ga. and am trying to decide if I want a 26" or 28" barrel. Hopefully it will be a SBE II. Any input on the different lengths?

I think the 26" is more of an all purpose barrel. I have a couple of shotguns with the 26" and one with the 28". I only use the 28" for geese. Too much length and extra weight to carry around in the turkey and rabbit woods.

I prefer the 28" myself and adjust choke for hunting situations, I have a 30" I use for geese, longer barrels hold pattern longer of course. It's really a matter of chioce and what you hunt the most.
