to be hunting on December 27 in my lightweight waders, a long sleeved t-shirt, and listening to tree frogs. Weird.

Definitely weird to see geese feeding in hayfields and golf courses as opposed to corn fields at the end of December thats for sure. Shot a quick limit this morning and now there are over 60 feeding in my hayfield.

The golf courses by me have been loaded with geese, and people golfing in short sleeves. The met-parks skating rink, that never froze, has been holding ton of geese as well. Haven't seen any ducks in there though.

Deer hunted at old woman's creek a couple weeks ago. It hit darn near 70. I've never gotten a sun burn while deer hunting before......

Geese are everywhere right now. However I have been surprised how many have been hitting corn in this warm weather in my neck of the woods.

Our last two hunts have been geese on grassy ponds. Would much rather be breaking ice, digging in a cornfield with foot deep snow or at least not swatting flies..

Just might have to head south and try and make something of this lousy north zone season we've had.

Very nice! I am thinking about getting out tomorrow. I didn't go out today because I have a report that has to get finished before I head up to Mosquito on Friday for a muzzy deer hunt.

Been a good week but hopefully those temps climb right back up into the 40's after this cold front is through. Keep the walleye and perch bite going.

Tell you what is really odd this year. I am noticing birds in fields that have never had a single bird in them in over 20 years....... this year there have been huge flocks piling into these fields. Anyone else noticing this?

Nice. Saw a few myself using the river after Christmas.
