All - looking for any information on this decoy I acquired. Have done some research but a lot of you seem very knowledgeable on these - was told it had never seen water and I believe it. Not sure of age.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the useful information CaptMark - I appreciate it. No desire to hunt over it or sell it, it makes a good piece on the mantle next to a couple of other old blocks I have. I really enjoy understanding as much of the history of old dekes and waterfowling in general as I can; as I get older these are more important to me than numbers of birds killed.

    Thanks again.

All of the decoy bodies we’re painted up at that time with roughly 20 dozen in storage in the attic I have sold off a few dozen since then that have the rounded keel in the back

We did the rounded keels for our own hunting decoys

These decoys were not available for sale to the general public and those did not have the rounded Keel

My best guess is that this decoy is one of those and would definitely put it in the 1995 to 2000 range close to what Captain Mark said
